Disability Day of Mourning 2021

March 01, 2021, is the annual Disability Day of Mourning. We at FAA here ask that you, reader, please join us online through this website or on Facebook or Twitter to remember those who have died in the disability community. These people have been victims of filicide, racism, queerphobia, and ableism, etc.

“Filicide” is the legal term for a parent murdering their child. Filicide is used when discussing any violence about a parent or other relative murdering a child or adult relative with a disability.

When Filicide is discussed, we are talking about a pattern of violence (physical and emotional/verbal, or sexual) that starts when a parent or caregiver murders their child or adult relative with a disability and also involves how these murders are reported, discussed, justified, excused, and replicated.

The names of those taken in 2020-2021 are listed below from this link here.

TACA Online Protest

                                                             Online Protest

                                                            (October 1-31)

The TACA Online Conference will be from October 1 through the 31. TACA is a harmful organization that promotes many cures, but especially chelation treatments. Chelation has already been debunked through our organization, as well as other experts. TACA was founded in 2000 by Lisa Ackerman, but is run by Lisa and Glen Ackerman.

The 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act: July 26, 2020

We celebrated the ADA by sharing information about Crip Camp and making everyone aware of the ADA's necessary improvements that should take place, since we will be expecting the ADA to change in the future. Crip Camp is a Netflix Documentary about the Disability Rights Movement. Autism Network International (ANI) was the first autistic-led organization to exist in the US in the 1990s. More information about what we need from the ADA in the future can be found here.

Autistic Pride Day: June 18, 2020

It is a pride celebration for autistic people. Autistic pride recognizes the importance of pride for autistic people and its role in bringing about positive changes in the broader society. This has expanded over time to celebrate intersected minority groups as well.

Autistic Pride Day started in 2005 and was created by Aspies For Freedom.

AutismOne 2020 Protest

(May 20-24)

We protested the pseudoscience cures being used to experiment on autistic people. There is bleach, chelation, GcMaf, and many more. Each "treatment" has more devastating side effects as the last. Everyone who helped us did a fantastic job.

Autism Acceptance Month, April 2020

In April this year, autistic people are experiencing autism acceptance month. We brought a live stream video for you all on Facebook on April 1. On April 2, we started the process of creating a podcast for the organization. Release date for that is not decided yet. We'll have more events and opportunities down the road for you. We just created a Pandemic Vaccine Assistance Program. You can check it out under "Programs" above. We do not Light It Up Blue during the month for April. Autism $peaks is a very corrupt organization. Why should you not support a big "Autism" Charity? The org itself was created on the need for a cure; however, 92 percent of autistics do not want to be cured. Yearly non-medical surveys are taken. If you want to support autistic people, please donate to Autistic-led orgs, like ours. Your contribution will help provide more opportunities for autistic people in the United States. FAA is an online 501(c)(3) based in Florida.
